This is my first bass build, I waxed the body but now I need to remove every trace of wax, Re-Ranch do a three tone sunburst kit which comes in aerosols, the results from the kit are amazing, as close to early 60s pre CBS three tone burst as you will ever get

10 year old Pots a bit scratchy so have decided to upgrade with a custom wiring loom , 250k linear controls and orange drop capacitor should give it a bit more balls in the tone department

I wouldn't use linear pots, the way they make changes to the sound is complex and hard to describe, it's something to do with the way the ear perceives changes in pitch and volume, log pots give you loud or quiet, (or bass or treble with a capacitor fitted)
