Can you tell I don't normally play with a pick? LOL I flubbed a couple times – played an Open A instead of an Open E and almost lost my pick near the end (you can hear that little slip up clear as day). But screw it, it was a first take so you get what you get lol
Agreed, you need that kind of crispness for the bass to stand out when the guitar's fast and using heavy distortion. Hence why I stuck with the pick for the challenge. Lounge Act sounds muddy when played finger-style. I should have ran through it a couple times first, though, just to reacquaint myself with using a pick.
