NOTE: I can't promise this one's even close to accurate. The bass
is crazy hard to make out in the first half of the song, and while
it's better in the second half, there are still times when it's too
muddy to accurately make out. I have a lot of love for this song,
it's one of my all—time favorite Prince tracks, but I really wish
the bass had been mixed higher.

This name change invoked controversy and many referred to him as "The Artist Formerly Known as Prince", often abbreviated to "TAFKAP", or simply "The Artist" during that period.
