Okay, so, change of plans. Instead of going out with real world buddies (they canceled on me, the pricks) I'll be hanging out watching movies with friends on Skype. If anyone here is a lover of horror flicks, the website I mod at (horror-movies.ca) occasionally throws a movie night where we come up with a particular theme – such as Asian horror, which we're doing tonight – and watch them while chatting over Skype.

It's the same notes, but I actually like to play the A and D notes fretted to have better control of the sound. Call me Goofy like that. But I originally learned the song 100% as you have it tabbed and have been playing it like that for years. So trying to re-teach myself the song without playing open A and D and playing the other notes on different parts of the neck is tricky, and I keep reverting back to the way I originally learned it.
I guess I should keep the F# on the 4th fret of the D string as you have it and keep my fingers in a 4-fret block instead of traveling the neck so much. But for some reason the 9th fret on the A string just feels warmer to me.

Yeah, a lot of my tabs I go for the ol' “economy of movement” thing to make them easier for beginners. I myself prefer to play it the way you tabbed there, though.
