Nice tip Jay - thanks for posting it. I'll start doing something like that with my gear. Maybe something in the control cavity as well, so it can be gotten to a little easier.
And I've clearly been watching too many “Epic fail” type videos on youtube - I was wincing while you were unscrewing the neck plate, hoping you had released the tension in the strings.

Yup, I released the tension beforehand. The neck shouldn't come off anyway, because I glued it in place with poly-urethane. I did so to fill the holes and slits, as the Chinese don't bother about a tight fit.
We just carry a concealed weapon in the States. It's a wonderful deterrent from theft.
Guns don't make you safe. They make you and your loved ones less safe. The statistics on that are overwhelming. And by the way, the states with the highest per capita rates of gun violence (Montana, Alaska, Idaho, Wyoming, Texas, etc.) are also the ones with the most lax gun laws. They are also the ones with the most fatalities from accidental discharges or from children playing with them. Never, ever make the mistake of thinking you are protecting yourself or especially your family by buying a gun. And never believe a word an NRA member says about anything. They are a trustworthy as Traitor Trump (or Putin's Puppet, if you prefer).
