Introducing changes in the ratings

Hey guys!

I'm sure we all agree that we all want high quality tabs. In order to weed out the shitty ones form the good ones we use the ratings system. Everything's alright if people are rating fair. We've observed that often times high quality, accurate tabs get bad ratings slapped on them. In order to combat this I've introduced two changes

• You must be logged in to give a bad rating,
  
• You must leave a comment on the song explaining why you think it is of low quality.
  

The way this works, if you slap a 1 star or 2 star on a song, you will get an error message stating that you must comment on the song first. After you comment you may give a bad rating.

Anons and non-commenters may still give high ratings.

Hopefully with this system we will get more fair and accurate ratings, AND the tabbers will be able to correct the tabs based on the suggestions.

I'm not discouraging giving bad ratings to bad tabs, I'm just asking people to justify their bad ratings in the comments.

I'm also open for suggestions for any other changes that may help!

Leave it to a youngster to figure out a way to be a troll.

So the tab I bitched about (Fell On Black Days, Soundgarden) has now been rated 10 times – and it gets lower and lower with each one, and not a single comment left. I included the isolated bass track with it and guarantee, on my BBT reputation, it is 100% accurate.

So I guess I have myself a troll. Why only on this particular tab, I have no idea.

EDIT – shit, now on my Where the River Flows tab! What the hell, man???

trolls are slapping 3 stars on it. ill raise the treshold today to 4 stars

Definitely a troll as the view to rating ratio is very very high.
