  Each line in a tab represents a string on your bass:

  • The top line is the highest-pitched string (G on a 4-string bass).
  • The bottom line is the lowest-pitched string (E on a 4-string bass).

  Numbers on the lines indicate which fret to press. For example:

  This means you play the 3rd fret on the A string.

Sadly this is completely wrong. This should be played with the bass tuned DADG (drop D). So where you have the 2 bars of D in the intro and kids chorus that should be played on the open 4th string tuned to lo D and not the open 2nd string. Indeed it would seem from your tab that the whole note is only held for one bar instead of the two bars as played by RW.
