Some tabs have a explanation of symbols ect. But Im trying to do On the hunt by Lynyrd Skynyrd. What does 7 with greater than symbol right after???

I just looked at the tab. It says near the top that > means “let ring.” Couldn't tell you how long, though. I'm not familiar with the song.
