Hello I have really bad fret buzz between about the 9th fret to the 20th fret where most of the time the notes dont properly ring out. I got my bass set a few months ago so possibly it has to do with change of season and the about 5 month old strings. I am getting new strings soon but I im not sure if this problem will resolve that easily lol.
i had the same problem even though my bass was set up a few months back. it's either the strings or you need to higher or lower your action on the d string until the buzz stops hopefully this helps if you haven't fixed it lmao.

Thats exactly what I was going to say. Take the proper wrench and lift up your saddle on the D string. Or lower it. Most times that will fix it…
