I am planning to get an acoustic bass guitar but confused between these options:-
Fender Kingman – The Californian Version Ibanez AEB5EBK – The Black Beauty Epiphone DR-100 – The Vintage Model Dean EAB – A combo of Electric-Acoustic Bass Guitar

I bought a Washburn ABK5 not too long ago for $350. It's holding up well and sounds really good. It's not a deep body acoustic, but still has a nice deep tone to it. The electronics are decent (not great) and has a small eq. But for some reason the battery doesn't last long in it, so I have to keep unplugging the battery when I'm not using it to preserve the battery.
I've played the Fender Kingman a few times in stores, and I appreciated the Jazz neck (since my main bass is a Fender Jazz) and the size of the body, specifically that it wasn't as deep as a lot of the others I've seen. Last time I was in Guitar Center there was a Dean EAB there that I about had to dislocate my right shoulder to play - I'd never last through a set with that thing.
My favorite EAB is still my Charvel Surfcaster. Good size, nice looks, great ‘thunky’ sound. But very hard to find any more.
I had the use of an Hofner Verithin semi acoustic bass when I first started playing. Got some awesome sounds and feedback with the aid of a phaser PEDAL
