Actually, any bass line is complex for me - I am a terrible player. Instead of practicing/playing, I spend all my bass time trying to tab songs. So I listen to and play only short phrases of a few bars length (the intro riff, the verse riff… ) as I work through a song. Yesterday I had to look again at the pattern for a minor scale!

I can't play in JT's slap style - I can't play slap. So a DD song with slap would not be possible for me to play in JT's way.

I say I will spend more time playing and learning scales and arpeggios, but there is always another song I want to figure out, or a request. Last year and this, I said would spend as much time playing/practicing as I do tabbing, but fail!

I have a huge list of LoudLon tabs I want to play, and the list keeps getting longer!

This is why I am happy when Nihilus and chipirock and others help here.

BTW, this is a Warren Cuccurullo bass line, not JT; sounds like a fretless bass to me.

This is a curious fact, I did not know that Cuccurullo played bass. The bass notes are not clear in this sound.

Yes…I have listened to this song and I do not want to try to tab it. Some parts are clear, some others I can't hear the bass but am not certain it is because the bass is not playing.
