One thing that i did when i first started working out my pinky was use it instead of my ring finger, just for a little while. this was definitely annoying for a while but after a week or two i noticed a big improvement in my pinky's performance.

The pinky is really useful for the left hand, (or right hand if you are left handed)
I even use it too much instead of the ring finger :p
