Anyone use a ramp for their bass?

Looking at the possibility of getting a ramp installed. I rest my thumb on the pickup and like the idea of moving my plucking hand for different tones. Anyone use one and do they work?

I use a ramp when I'm replacing my exhaust pipe, might be a bit bulky on a bass though

ya its a thumb rest, but not like the 70's jazz bass thumb rest. its more like an extension of the pickup, either to the other pickup or to the neck.
