Leo Fenders best bass, the MusicMan Stingray had the mutes removed when Ernie Ball bought the company and ever since theyve been impossible to find, however, I've just bought a set from Mark at Bass Direct, find them online

What are string mutes? To my knowledge, none of my basses (Fender, Ibanez, Epiphone) has string mutes.

The Rickenbacker 4001 has mutes, the come in really handy if you want a muffled tone but they just look cool on the Stingray
