The first time I tried to play a 5 string, that extra string totally messed me up. It was as if I had never had a bass in my hands before. It was strange!
Yeah sid i remember when i got a 5 string bass and my first reaction ll is this?!?! but i actually enjoy playing a 5 string now but 4 string will always be the best
while the 4 string is a great way to start off, I really like the feel of a 5 or 6 string bass. It feels more comfortable in my hands and doesn't make them feel all scrunched up.
