First time I heard the pistols was 1982. I turned my hair into liberty spikes that day and painted my face with a thunderbolt and orange hair. Bell bottom pants and a leather jacket. Boots up to the knees.

Sid was never a Pistol imo, Glen Matlock was a fine bass player but Malcolm Maclaren drove a wedge between him and the rest of the band, Sid was just a mess

Sid was a mess alright. Malcolm just wanted to make money off of them. he didn't care about them. I don't really saw him as one either. I saw him as more of a hype guy that died. He even asked Lemmy to teach him bass at one point.

The Sid & Nancy film was garbage too other than Gary Oldman.
