I don't know the whereabouts of Mari, she probably should be busy. I sent 3 pvt for her, no answer..
Anyone know anything?

I am still in utter amazement that this thread is still alive. It's got a mind of its own. An entity. If nobody posts, it will probably post itself. Over 900 posts? Next up is like 45. Did Duran Duran put an album out after Rio? Lol

- Sid, I think Skin Divers is a cool song, but I'm not so familiar.

- I'm thinking it would be good another version of The Chauffeur, a live version, maybe.

- Yes, Gerr. I knew this news (JT as top 1) .. and I agree, he's my favorite bassplayer and also of other people. Mr. Taylor does a great job mixing skill, technique, a perfect combination of notes (along with other great musicians in the band, which also helps).
You must take into account that he had a preference of 30% of a large audience, including scholars and critics.

- Mari disappeared even, unfortunately. Does anyone know when the last post was? (not sure if it was here or on another thread).

Yes, I think this thread has its own life, the same way that others threads may also have. Members who come here enjoy Duran Duran, as those who go in others threads enjoy others bands; and so is the musical universe: various bands, various styles, various preferences.

Ezzo,
I found this Skin Divers tab info online. Please see if it is helpful for you. I would prefer not to tab Skin Divers (I don't really like the song all that much) but will give it a shot if this is not helpful. Cheers.

Tabs:
Duran Duran - Skin Divers (2007)

Tabbed by: trevgreg
Email: [email protected]

Tuning: Standard

Here's the bass intro that John plays before the first verse comes in during the
of the song, as well as the choruses when Timbaland is rapping.

G|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|--15--12----15--12----14--10----12--8-------------------------------------|
A|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|--------------------------------------------------------------------------|

For the verses (and the rest of the song for that matter), the bass line seems to be a D-C-A#-F
chord progression.

It also sounds like he's doing this riff during the outro of the song on the album
as well, so keep your ears open for that part.

Sid I think the tab of this song is basically composed of the parts you posted. The first part for the chorus and second part to the verses. What do you think?
