See page 84 of this thread for my thoughts on the root notes for Barbarella. I think the song is in D minor (D E F G A Bb C D). Note that this scale does not include F#.
I don't hear as many octave jumps as you do.
The transition notes for leaving the verse (main riff) to get to the chorus are G and Bb.
Hugorj, I think you should tab this song. Gerr, Mari, and Ezzo all liked your verse riff. It must be good!
I think at the end of the riff, instead of playing F#s, the bass plays F, F(octave up), G, G(octave up). (F# would be right between these, so it would not be hard to hear an F# instead of F changing to G.)
Then the riff repeats until the last measure before starting the chorus. In this last measure, the notes are G and Bb.
