I tried to tab as played in the bass cover, but I think maybe there is a mistake in the bass cover in bar 9 (first bar of third staff) of chorus 2 - where he plays the A then the hammer on to the octave up A instead of playing two A notes (without octave up) as in all the other first bars of the chorus riff. I (or someone) needs to listen to the song as played by DD to see the playing should be as in the bass cover or if this was a mistake.
After this chorus 2, there is an interlude, which does not sound so hard. Nice to get a little rest finally!
Hi Gerr, Yes - almost finished. Working on the Outro. I listened to the song as recorded by DD and I was correct about the mistake in the chorus in the bass cover version. JT starts always with the two A notes so this is how I have tabbed it.
Here's the interlude, fill, verse 3, and chorus 3:
all that's left is the outro, which is based on two bars of C followed by two bars of D, repeated. I'll post the outro when I have it done - maybe tonight. Cheers.
I think so, but I haven't checked carefully. Mari7 said they were the same and when I play along (to the bass cover version with the song by DD in the background) it sounds like it is right. Do you think perhaps they are different?
I know that the bass cover version is not always the same as what JT played. In the bass cover version, he puts in his own variations in the chorus and especially in the outro.
I don't think, from listening to the recorded version, that JT throws as many variations into the outro. Were I playing this song in a band, I would simplify the outro just so I could remember it.
