Pentatonic Scales
I am trying to learn these, so can someone point out the basics and maybe give an example? Thanks!
Pentatatonic Scale A minor
G————–5-7—
D———-5-7——-
A——5-7———–
E–5-8—————
This is a moveable minor scale.
….remember your octaves….
Hope this helps
Just by adding one note to the pentatonic minor you get the blues scale.

Pentatonic major

E|-5-7------------------------------------|
The tune to Amazing Grace is in a Pentatonic Major.
To visualize pentatonic scales, go to the piano (or ask a friend that can play one), play only the black keys, the major pentatonic will start on F# and the minor pentatonic will start on D#.
