SONIC YOUTH
dirty boots
bass tab by chris lawrence
the previous one seemed a little messed up, so here's my interpretation..
intro (after thurston's intro):
G———————————————————————
D———————————————————————
A——57—7—7——512——12—10— (long slides)
E———————————————————————
verse:
G—————————————————
D—————————————————
A——14——17——12——10—
E—————————————————
chorus:
G—————————————————————————————————————————
D—————————————————————————————————————————
A——7——75—5——12——10————7——75——12—14—10—
E—————————————————————————————————————————
note between chorus & verse:
E———12———
during the outro jam (after 'got some dirty boots'), playing the intro
riff 8 times, then hang on a low E for a bit, mixed with the E at the
7th fret of the A string.
then:
A——16—16—16—16—17—17—17—17— X ? then hang on ——7———
E———————————————————————————————————————————————0———
then she plays:
A——19—19—— (listen for where she plays it, i kinda forget..)
then slide back to: A——10—10—10—10—10—10— etc when the main riff begins
again..
after all that dies down, it sounds like something, which may or may
not be a bass, is playing:
G———1416—16———14/12—12—— etc etc ...
end on a G note.
