and to replicate the sliding sound on the recording.

Sigur Rós (English pronunciation: /?s???r ?r?s/, Icelandic: [?s????r ?rou?s]( listen)) is an Icelandic post-rock band with melodic, classical, and minimalist elements. The band is known for its ethereal sound and lead singer Jónsi Birgisson's falsetto voice. In January 2010, the band announced that they will be on hiatus until further notice in order to pursue solo careers and to spend time with their families.
