Hairstyles I had as a teen in the ‘80s:
Crew cut
Duck tail
Spiked
Mullet
Rat tail
“Metal hair” (long all over, parted down the middle)

Clothing trends I participated in in the ’80s:
Parachute pants
Jeans with high-tops
Half-shirts
Members Only jackets
Lots of denim (often bleached)
Spandex shorts
Polo shirts
Bermuda shorts
Jackets with sleeves rolled up (Miami Vice style)

Name of my intramural basketball team in high school:
Metal Maniacs (we wanted to print the claw from the cover of the Dokken album “Tooth and Nail” on our tees but our principal ixnayed it)

Crushes I had as a teen in the ‘80s:
Sheena Easton
Debbie Gibson
Lisa Lisa
Samantha Fox
Molly Ringwald
Darcy DeMoss
Jody Watley
Christina Applegate
Holly Robinson

But these are just tips of the iceberg. And I would list my favorite movies and TV shows as a teen in the ’80s but I don't have ten hours to spare.

Well…it's a crazy mixed up world and who am I to judge? Actually Lon, I'd like to hear your favourite movies and tv shows from the 80s, movies for me, it would have to be ‘Ran’ directed by Akira Kurosawa and tv shows would be ‘The Young Ones’ starring Rik Mayall and Tyne Tees Televisions ‘The Tube’, best tv music show ever. Oh, and not forgetting ‘Ren and Stimpey’ of course

This is awesome.

I had a mullet with purple spandex and a white shirt
I wore a lot of denim and polo shirts.
I still have the mullet

I also had the Liberty Spikes for a while. I wore a leather jacket, punk look. I also wore a lot of Jean shorts.Sometimes I wore Bell Bottoms.

My biggest crush was Farrah :'( and Cher. I still remember the video “Turn back time” with her tattooed ass. Bring back memories Lon? Xd

Hero was Fonzie
Billy Idol, Nikki Sixx and Richard Marx

Miami Vice and Happy Days was big with the old man so, I would watch it every time it was on.

Blues Brothers was the movie of choice.

Some more that just sprang to mind:

Friday Night Videos
MTV (bearing in mind that back in the ‘80s, they actually played music videos – all day, every day)
Better Off Dead
My Chauffeur
Say Anything
Platoon
Romancing the Stone
Flashdance

And now I’m blanking again…there are so many more…

Wow! Some big lists there, too many mullets and far too much spandex. The bell bottoms are a little out of place Twiggy, and Lon, John Carpenters ‘The Thing’ is still one of my all time faves, I never get bored of it, even better than the original and Kurt Russell looks like your avatar
