what do you mean bro?

if its how to tune your bass in half step down just do this:

Match your E string with the 6th fret of your A string and from there
Use the 5th fret standard tunning technique just tab the A string using the E string's 5th fret and from there on till you get

Gb|
Db|
Ab|
Eb|

If you don't want to re tune your bass, couldn't you just play every note down a fret from where the tabs says? Changes how low your lowest note is though

We do Sweet Child and Paradise City and since our guitarist uses an Ibanez Jem 7V with a Floyd Rose, he can't tune down so we do it standard

Danny you've made a rare error and I can only put it down to your excitement at a new life in Texas. Punky Boy, you need to fret the E string at the 4th fret and tune the open A to this, then fret the E string at the 5th fret and de tune the E until it's the same as the open A, now do the standard 5th fret tuning on the other two strings. Shame on you Danny

If you're on a 4-string, the only reason to tune down would be if the song has notes lower than the open 4th string (low E). If it does, and you're too lazy or don't want to have to re-tune all four strings, just drop the fourth to Eb (EbADG) and leave the rest in standard.

That's how I tabbed Sowing the Seeds of Love by Tears for Fears.

Yeah, do what Lon says, or just drop the E a whole step to D, this is drop D tuning

99% of GnR stuff is drop D anyway
you can play it in standard tuning. it just sounds a little off if you have a good ear
