TABS vs Notation
I like to have both actually. The tabs so I can see the notes quickly but also the notation so I can learn the rhythm.
I think that's what it was meant for. In professionally published books, they are used together.
Tab gives you a quick guide to finger placement, the standard notation gives you all the other information: key signatures,rhythm, tempo, etc. To me, they are best used together.
