Just watched an episode of Top of the Pops from 1979 featuring Tubeway Army's first TV appearance with this song. If Punk was a shock in 76 then this performance was equally as radical, I didn't realise it at the time but this song was the dawn of what was to come in the 80s

I can't find the URL for the video but search for, Tubeway Army - Gary Numan - Are Friends Electric, this is a live performance on The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1979
