We should implement some sort of anti troll system. for example needing to verify via text or phone call like ebay. we all have a telephone and the real users here arent hiding
that's good for any serious service, but for a bass site, i think it's a bit of an overkill.
the guys on the team here are all sound supporters of internet privacy, and demanding phone numbers from all new users is kind of in conflict with that. it would definitely solve the problem of trolling, but it isn't justified yet.
what we really need is more mods, from different timezones.

I'll admit he was slightly irritating but mostly embarrassing himself, the best thing to do is ignore these people because if they get no reaction they move on to somewhere where they will. Dude, you should post a thread on how to deal with Trolls, I.e don't reply to them
i know its easiest to ignore, but racist and homophobic stuff is bad for this site's reputation. all hatemongers should be deleted immediately

There's a rascist on the site!?! Someone has to deal with this I hate racists they have no right to judge or open their mouths now on the homophobic stuff really? Nobody should post things like that, this is a site for bass community friends and musicians not that kind of crap I'd suggest we put a filter on the site that allows us to see if someone posted something as vile as a rascist comment, hurtful comment or homophobic comment as well.

How's about a filter that replaces known racist words or excessively sexual language with a happy word? Like, say, the f word replaced by “very much.” The n word with “loving.” The gay f word with “Tony Danza.”
Picture the next jerk-hole who comes in spamming “I very much hate loving Tony Danza.”
Boom. Dealt with.
