This minor scale is particular interesting because it tells
you the "formula" to all the other minor scales.
If you rest your left hand on the fretboard (one finger in each fret), you'll that the fret number is the same as the finger used to play it (E—1—3—4—————————— is played by the 1, 3 and 4 fingers).
That is the formula to all minor scales, assuming your 1 finger
(index finger) is in the G note (for example), if you do the 1—3—4/1—3—4/1—3
progression, you'll have the G minor scale.
That applies for every note.
